"POINT" systems for use in Live sports coverage from KTV3
(Kuwait Sports Channel) to broadcast Gulf Cup Tournament held
in Kuwait from 25th December 2003 to 11th January 2004.
Demco Engineers customized the POINT system to provide
control from KTV3 Studio to the OB vehicle over 200 meters of CAT5e
cable, carrying a multiplex of signals which include XGA resolution
video, base band video and touch screen control data. This allows
engineers to have the main "POINT" graphics computer located in the
OB truck and to locate a light weight flat panel touch screen on the
Studio. The graphics personnel have minutes before the start of a
game to get a confirmed team player list, the player names once
entered into the system are immediately available to the KTV3 sports
commentators via the link with "POINT", allowing team formations etc
to be discussed just before the start of any game. The system will
be used by commentators and KTV3 producers for live match analysis
graphics and it helps spectators to have a clear visualization of
the game. |
